 Once upon a time there was a variety that grew quietly in the French countryside, in the Bordeaux wine region. However, there was nothing to suspect that a plague would arrive in Europe in the middle of the 19th century that would affect the vineyards and bring it to the brink of extinction.
 Between Merlot vines, she wandered off to the new world, seeking to re-grow and redevelop the wines she once made in her native France. While keeping it secret, he delivered wines that confused everyone, “strange are Chilean Merlot wines” it was said back then. 
 It was not until 1994 when it was discovered that it was that variety that it was thought that we would never try it again. Since then he was in search of his identity and his home in this new world; something he managed to find in the Cachapoal Valley
